It is with a very heavy heart that I bring to you the news that Express Yourself Salon will be closing our doors. First and foremost I want to thank each and every one of you for trusting me and my small local business in providing you with many of your beauty services over the past 13 + years. Whether you visited a few times or a hundred times, your support has been greatly appreciated. For the numerous clients’ that have been here from the early days, I feel very blessed that you remained loyal throughout the many changes and evolutions that unfolded over the past years. For your support, I am eternally grateful.
I feel I owe our loyal clientele an explanation of why the closing is happening so quickly. While running a business with a limited staff whose primary function is providing beauty services; a simple change involving a staff member often results in significant loss of revenue. For the first time in 13 years two core staff members are leaving at the same time. One employee is leaving July 1st, which was expected to prepare for her first baby. However, four days ago I was given notice by another stylist who secured an opportunity closer to home that she will no longer be working at the salon. I sincerely wish them success in their future endeavors. These changes leave me without a core staff and without time to recoup. The salon can handle the loss of one as it has done in the past but it’s not feasibly sustainable when circumstances such as these unfold at the same time.
I want to assure you that I myself am NOT going out of business; nevertheless it is necessary for me to hang up my hat as an employer.
I will still be available without interruption. You can continue to schedule with me through Schedulicity-the same link as you have been using. While it’s hard to sell a business in 30 days, if miraculously it happens, I may remain at the salon. If it doesn’t sell, I will be available at the salon through the end of June and at another location in very close proximity the first week of July.
June 24th will be the last day for you to visit one of my stylists. Please call the salon to schedule your appointment as the online scheduling link is in the process of going from multiple users to just myself.
Please watch for an email with the details of my future location. I truly hope to continue to provide you with your hair and nail services. I will also be honoring all gift cards and reward cards that you have wherever I will reside.
