Cancellation Policy

 Your appointments are very important to the team of Express Yourself Salon. We have reserved a time especially for you and we respectfully request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
While this policy has been in effect since we opened, it has come time that we need to firmly enforce it.  After a client has cancelled and/or is a no-show on three occasions that are within 24 hours of their appointment, a deposit will be required for all future booking (see details below).
We thoroughly understand that things can happen beyond our control and on occasion one may need to cancel within the 24 hour time frame. We are happy to accommodate a client for an occasional emergency situation or an illness. However, please understand that due to the nature of our business, too often a last minute cancellation leaves us with an empty time slot.  We are a service industry therefore the livelihood of the salon depends on keeping appointments filled. Last minute cancellations do not allow clients on our waiting list enough time to make the necessary arrangements nor does it give us the opportunity to fill your appointment time. It has a negative impact on the salon but also directly and indirectly affects stylist’s income.
Out of respect for your personal time we never double book appointments and we do our very best to run on time for you. We are requesting the same consideration when you schedule an appointment.

After a client has cancelled three times and/or is a no-show within 24 hours of  their appointment, the following will apply:

  • Client will no longer be able to schedule online.

  • When client calls or comes into the salon to schedule a future appointment they will be charged a 50% NON REFUNDABLE deposit for the service(s) they schedule. Payment will be made by cash, credit or debit card. Checks will not be accepted.

Client May Receive a 50% Discount if Salon Cancels

Express Yourself Salon stands by our policies. We believe that we too must give you at least a 24 hour cancellation notice if we have to cancel your appointment. We reserve the right to offer you a time slot with another stylist on the same day as your cancelled appointment. If you decline to visit another one of our talented stylists then we will happily reschedule your appointment but the 50% discount will not apply. In the case that we are unable to reschedule you with another stylist because of our schedule then on your next visit we will honor 50% off the service you had originally scheduled. If the salon is required to close during our regular business hours due to a situation that’s out of our control such as a power outage, inclement weather, unfortunate incidence, etc.  then we will gladly reschedule your appointment but the 50% discount will not apply.
